Cher Confirms She’s Finally Writing Her Memoir, Followed by Biopic

The book is due out in 2020, the diva tweeted.

Look, it's been a crazy month. We can't be expected to catch all of Cher's tweets, even when we need them the most.

After a high-profile year, returning to the silver screen in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and releasing a chart-topping album of ABBA covers, Cher revealed earlier this week that she's writing a memoir and that a movie about her life is also in the works.

"Writing Life Story Book Due Out First Part Of 2020," the icon tweeted, capitalizing each word like it's a major headline—which of course it is. "Bio Pic To Follow."

HarperCollins announced last fall that it had acquired world rights for “the definitive memoir” from the legendary entertainer.

Cher, currently between legs of her Here We Go Again world tour, also hinted on Twitter last month that she might take a chance on a second ABBA covers album.

The Cher Show, a new jukebox musical based on the 72-year-old diva’s life and career, opened earlier this month on Broadway.
