Cher and Meryl Streep locked lips on the red carpet for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, and Gay Twitter™ immediately lost its sh*t.

Both divas, who co-star in the much-anticipated follow-up to the beloved 2008 ABBA musical, are longtime friends. In the film, Meryl plays Donna, daughter of Ruby Sheridan, aka Cher. "My old friend, Cher, playing my mother of course,” she joked in a video from the set. “It was so much fun to see her. She was divine.”

Clearly, Meryl wasn't exaggerating: At the film's world premiere in London on Monday, the two shared a smooch for all to see. And boy, did Twitter see it.

Some took the prime opportunity to share their favorite relevant memes (or make Cher and Meryl into their own meme).

Others just reveled in the sheer gay goodness.
