Cher Just Released A Bizarre New Song

Trippy.

Are you ready to "Ooga Boo?"

That is the strange name of Cher's surprise new song she just released, and it's a trippy track off of the soundtrack for the animated children’s TV show, Home: Adventures with Tip And Oh. The series follows the characters from the Dreamworks animated movie, Home, which featured the voice of Rihanna.

We know you're probably confused on why one of the greatest pop divas of all time is gifting a new song to an animated kids show, but it's because she is also voices one of the characters on the series, Chercophonie, an alien rock diva from space.

The role sounds like a real stretch for her.

The song might be for a children's series butlike many of Cher's greatest hits, it delivers a message of self-love and empowerment with lyrics like: "You go be you, find your ooga boo."

This is the second song that Cher has contributed to a soundtrack this year. She recorded "Prayers For This World" for the documentary, Cries From Syria, which was released in March.

We know that summer is almost over, but is it too late for "Ooga Boo" to make a play for the dark horse song of the summer?

Cher received the Icon Award at this year's Billboard Music Awards, but her last album, Closer to the Truth, came out four years ago—a millennia in pop music—so here's hoping "Ooga Boo" is just the first cut from a new batch of songs she recorded.
