Cher wants to to know that there’s no one like her—as if we weren’t clear on that before.
The Dark Lady was at the star-studded Attitude Magazine Awards on October 15 and spoke about how all pop divas are unique. The “Woman’s World” singer says she finds comparisons between, say, Lady Gaga and Madonna, wanting: “You can’t be the young anybody else. That’s why Gaga is Gaga and Madonna is Madonna,” Cher told the magazine.
And don’t even try to call yourself the Young Cher: “There is no young me,” she explains. “If you get to be that, if you get to a certain level, you have to be the young you … Until I’m dead. Maybe when I’m dead, someone will go, ’Oh that’s the young Cher.'”
Oh Cher, don’t be silly—you’re never going to die.
