Reading is fundamental and there’s no shortage of shade being thrown in this exclusive new clip from the upcoming drag comedy Cherry Pop.
Directed by Assaad Yacoub, the film focuses on one night at a failing drag bar as it tells the story of a newcomer struggling to find her place among the vicious clique of established performers.
The comedy is filled with Drag Race royalty, including performances from Bob The Drag Queen, Detox, Latrice Royale and Tempest Dujour.
In the clip below, Detox faces off with L.A. queen Mayhem Miller over makeup in a heated moment that will remind you why our queens are often at their best when they’re at each other’s throats.
The film first premiered back in March as part of Outfest Fusion, an L.A. film fest spotlighting LGBT people of color.
Cherry Pop will now be available September 22 on digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon Video Direct, Fandango, Google Play, Vudu, WolfeOnDemand.com and more.
