Bob The Drag Queen, Detox, Latrice Royale Star In The Drag Comedy “Cherry Pop”

Bob the Drag Queen is the reigning queen of RuPaul’s Drag Race and now she wants to conquer the silver screen: She’s appearing in the new drag comedy Cherry Pop, alongside her Drag Race sisters Detox, Latrice Royale and Tempest Dujour.

In the film, directed by Assaad Yacoub, Lars Berge plays a new queen arriving at a failing drag bar, where she struggles to find her place among the vicious clique of performers.

Cherry Pop will make it’s New York debut on June 19 as part of OutCinema presented by NewFest and NYC Pride at the SVA Theatre followed by a screening at the Castro Theater in San Francisco on July 11. It’ll then be available on VOD in the fall from Wolfe Video.
