Cheyenne Jackson Will Star In New Ryan Murphy Drama “Open”

The new Ryan Murphy pilot Open, which he is making for HBO, has just added an actor we are very, very excited about; Mr. Cheyenne Jackson. Murphy and Jackson are old pals of course, with the actor appearing in three episodes of Glee back in 2011 as villainous vocal coach Dustin Goolsby, so we could not be happier that the two are reuniting.

Open, which features an all-star cast including Michelle Monaghan, Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley, Anna Torv and Jennifer Jason Leigh, is, according to Deadline, “a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships.” Jackson will be playing the role of a “handsome meth addict.”

Open will begin filming next February, in hopes of a June premiere on HBO. Cheyenne Jackson can next be seen in the Ira Sachs drama Love is Strange.
