Chloë Grace Moretz Forced Into Gay Conversion Therapy In New Film, "The Miseducation Of Cameron Post"

The actress has two gay brothers who have motivated her to fight for gay rights in the past.

Chloë Grace Moretz has been cast as a young girl trying to escape a gay conversion therapy center in the upcoming indie film The Miseducation of Cameron Post.

Based on the novel by Emily Danforth, the story follows 12-year-old Cameron Post after she loses her parents in an accident and is forced to move in with her conservative aunt. She's eventually sent to a "de-gaying" camp after starting a relationship with her prom-queen best friend.

Moretz has been an outspoken ally of the LGBT community in the past, opening up about the struggles she watched her gay brothers endure because of their sexuality.

“No one should care what your sexual orientation is, what color your skin is or if you’re a man or a woman,” the actress told Nylon last year. “It was really hard to see my brothers be hated on or bullied, so I stood up for them."

She added, "We shouldn’t be using these terms to create more labels and segregate us further apart than we already are."
