Christian Louboutin's newest shoes are named after out rugby player Gareth Thomas, a longtime friend and fan of the designer. The stylish kicks are leather men's dress shoes with wing tips and the signature Louboutin red sole.

It's actually the second pair Louboutin has named after the Welsh rugger: A pair of flats were previously titled "Alfie" in honor of Thomas's nickname. "These days I own more of Louby’s shoes than I do rugby boots," Gareth told to the Evening Standard.

Their bromance started back in 2009, when Thomas first came out—Louboutin sent him a pair of custom slip-on loafers based on the athlete's tattoos. (How do we get in on that action?)

Though Thomas is retired from the brutal sport, he's as popular as ever: Mickey Rourke will play him in an upcoming biopic.
