The 34-year-old singer released two new tracks this week as part of her multi-episode arc on the show, which began last Wednesday. Like most of Nashville’s other characters, Aguilera plays an up-and-coming country music hopeful trying to cut her debut album.

X-tina may be new to the genre, but she tackles “Shotgun” and “The Real Thing” like a true true professional. Check out both songs below!

Aguilera first turned heads with “Shotgun” by performing it live at the Academy of Country Music Awards¬†Sunday.

“I really love the song. It speaks to long-lasting love, the roads it takes, the turns it makes and how it lasts forever,” she told People. “When I perform it, I really think of that older couple who have been through it all and who have stood the test of time with the changes that their relationship goes through.”
