Christina Aguilera Starring As Evita In "Broadway 4D" Film

Christina Aguilera might be taking a breather from The Voice but she's hardly retiring: The pregnant singer has signed on to play Evita diva Eva Peron in a new Broadway-themed film experience called Broadway 4D.

Coming in 2015, the film will see numerous boldfaced names performing iconic numbers from Broadway classics: Aguilera will perform "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from the Tony-winning  Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical, while Hugh Jackman will reprise "Oh What a Beautfil Morning" from Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! (Jackman starred in the musical in the 1999 West End revival.)

Aguilera teased the news this weekend on Twitter:  "So blissful in taking this time for creating all things blossoming new on the horizon," she tweeted. "Album, baby & beautiful music to come." Of course she isn't the first blond pop queen to play the Argentine rose—Madonna nabbed a Golden Globe for her performance in the 1996 film adaptation.

Other stars attached to the project include Glee's Matthew Morrison and Love Never Dies' Sierra Boggess.
