Christopher Guest Bringing Mockumentary About School Mascots To Netflix
Fantastic news for fans anxiously wondering when we'll be blessed with a new Christopher Guest mockumentary: The wait is almost over.
Guest just signed a deal with Netflix to produce his next movie, Mascots.
According to Variety, the new film follows the "'unusual' men and women of the 8th World Mascot Association championships competing for the prestigious Gold Fluffy Award."
Mascots will reportedly be shot in the same mockumentary style as other Guest classics like Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman, and will include the same roundup of actors that have helped make all his other movies such hilarious successes.
Mascots is just one of many original films that Netflix is currently producing. The streaming service has deals with Brad Pitt (War Machine), Kevin James (The True Memoirs Of An International Assassin), and Adam Sandler (The Ridiculous Six).
