The city of Indianapolis joined the growing list of organizations making a mockery of Indiana's new "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" yesterday, decorating its official tourism website with rainbows and a new slogan: "All are welcome in Indy."

This means that the law, which grants businesses the right to discriminate against LGBT customers, is literally being protested by the state's capital and most populous city.

A new page added to the site reads: "No legislation can take away the ethos of Indy, its 'Hoosier Hospitality.' Indy is built on its people, who are warm, welcoming, and inclusive of all. Visit Indy proudly joins Mayor Greg Ballard in opposing RFRA [Religious Freedom Restoration Act]."

Out Sports notes the new skin on VisityIndy.com is a huge statement for the city, as it coincides with a major influx of tourists to the city for the annual NCAA Final Four championship. The lead feature on the website is an LGBT guide to the city, which is placed above information about the 2015 Final Four.

The new law has been protested unanimously among players and organizations in the sporting world. Last night, coaches at the University of Connecticut announced they will not be attending the Final Four game due to the state's anti-gay legislation.
