Clean Bandit’s Neil Amin-Smith "Bored And Appalled" By Olly Murs’ Gay Claim
This week, UK singer Olly Murs declared he was "partially" gay because he enjoys camp and the company of homosexuals.
Addressing Sacha Baron Cohen's claim that he's "17 to 31% gay," Murs responded, "I’m probably the same, or maybe 20%... I’ve got a lot of gay friends I get on with really well. I get on with everyone. Everyone’s got a bit of campness about them."
Some folks took exception to the comment, given to the British tabloid The Sun, claiming it suggests one's sense of humor, rather than attraction, is the definer of sexuality.
Clean Bandit singer Neil Amin-Smith, who recently broke up with Years & Years' Olly Alexander, dragged Murs on Twitter.
In general, response was mixed, with some applauding Murs' comment and others chiding the singer for it.
@danwootton Yes because being camp equates to being gay. Fancied a man before Olly? No? Then you're not gay.

One commenter called it a "reductive, glib interview," while another said it supported the idea that "sexually is a spectrum and people are different places along it. "
And then there was this guy.
Wow, tell us how you really feel.
