Iconic music producer Clive Davis is bisexual.
The 80-year-old recently came out in his memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life, which is scheduled to hit bookstores today. He revealed he’s had two serious relationships with men since the 90s.
Rolling Stone reports that a five page section at the end of Davis’ new book said he had a sexual experience with a man for the first time in “the era of Studio 54” and it was a “welcome relief.” After separating from his second wife in 1985, he dated both men and women and in 1990 entered a monogamous relationship with an unnamed man. They split in 2004 and he’s been dating another man ever since.
“For over 50 years I never had sex with men, said Clive in an interview with Nightline. “It wasn’t repressed. I had very good sexual relations with women.”
When he’s asked about the preconceived notions of bisexuality, he says “I’m not lying. It exists.”
Good to have such a famous record executive in our corner.
