Coachella released its awesome lineup today, showcasing a stellar list of bands over the two weekends that will be playing April 12-14 and April 19-21 in LA. The best news of the night is the confirmation of Postal Service reuniting for the first time since 2004. The band recently teased their reunion on their website but the location of their happy meeting was pretty much kept under wraps.
Joining Jimmy Tamborello and Ben Gibbard will be Blur, the Stone Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and the XX. Sadly, the Rolling Stones are no longer on the list despite being rumored to be coming.
Any night we can celebrate the ten year anniversary of a group that created their music via mail correspondence, sounds like a party to us. Oh, and the drunk celebrities running around making inappropriate decisions while wearing fringe leather vests will be an added bonus as well.
