NewNowNext Travel: Colby Melvin's Los Angeles
Colby Melvin is best known for posing in his Andrew Christian underwear, a gig that has seen him traveling far and wide and partaking in an infamous road trip . He's also an LGBT activist, blogger, manager of his own entertainment group, Colbra, and a regular here on NewNowNext.
This self-proclaimed goofball is originally from the Deep South, but he and fiancée/fellow underwear jockey Brandon Brown's favorite have made Los Angeles their home in the past year. He's sharing some of his favorite haunts with us, so if you find yourself in Colby’s neck of the woods, check them out!

Where to Eat
Sushi A Go Go – The smallest stall in the Farmers Market offers the best sashimi in town, according to Colby.
The Stinking Rose – This garlic paradise has two locations on the West Coast (Beverly Hills and San Francisco) both offering Californian-Italian fusion cuisine. Colby keeps it simple with the roasted garlic bulbs.
Tortilla Republic – If you like to drink your meals, Colby suggests this Mexican grill and its "tequilera," servings some of the best margaritas around.

“Escondido Falls in Malibu is a fantastic hiking trail that gets you out of the city and ends with a 70-foot waterfall (but there’s only water during the spring)”

While he is often seen sans clothing, Colby says Block Party WeHo is great for underwear and tank tops.
Where to People Watch
“St. Felix at Santa Monica and Robertson has a great happy hour and a patio that’s great for evening relaxation and people watching,” says Colby, who also praises West Street Beach in Laguna (above).
