Finding Out If She's Being Catfished Means Coming Out Of The Closet

"In order to live my life how I want to, I gotta first admit it."

Many young LGBT people are inspired to come out because of a romantic relationship—but what if the person you're falling for isn't who they claim to be?

That's the struggle faced by Telizza, who discovered her feelings for a girl she met online have begun to turn romantic. The 18-year-old was frustrated by several failed attempts to video chat with "Shai," so she turned to Catfish stars Nev and Max for help uncovering the truth.

Putting her story on television meant Telizza has to be open about her sexuality with her family and friends—something she wasn't initially prepared to do. "I haven't even told my mom," Telizza shares in the clip below. "But in order to live my life how I want to, I gotta first admit it."

Watch how it all unfolds on Catfish: The TV Show, tonight at 8/7c on MTV.
