Most likely soon-to-be junior senator from New Jersey Cory Booker was profiled in The Washington Post yesterday. The piece touched on his private business ventures as well as his dating life.
Booker says a pastor friend of his told him “You need to get married”, so since then he’s been trying to date more, though he declines to discuss with who. “Because how unfair is it to a young lady to put them in the spotlight if they haven’t signed up for that yet?
He did put to rest those rumors he was involved with Arianna Huffington.
Booker has a great response to people who might question his orientation:
“And people who think I’m gay, some part of me thinks it’s wonderful. Because I want to challenge people on their homophobia. I love seeing on Twitter when someone says I’m gay, and I say, ‘So what does it matter if I am? So be it. I hope you are not voting for me because you are making the presumption that I’m straight.’ ”
Meanwhile his Republican opponent in the New Jersey special election Senate race wants you to know he’s straight. “I like being a guy!” says Steve Lonergan. Check out the jerk discussing Booker’s “odd” and unmanly private life in the short clip below.
We have no idea if Cory Booker is gay or straight, but we’ll take him it at his word. Seems like if he were gay that’s something he’d be more than happy to admit. Meanwhile, we can say with some certainty that Steve Lonegan is an asshat.
