Courtney Act Will Compete to Represent Australia in Next Year’s Eurovision Song Contest

She's got our vote!

Australia has announced Courtney Act as one of the three new contestants who will compete to represent the country in next year's Eurovision Song Contest.

The RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6 queen currently lives in London, but has already appeared on a singing competition in her native country, when she was on Australian Idol in 2003.

"A sweet 16 years after Australian Idol, I have the chance to show Australia how I have grown as an artist and a performer and I am so excited,” Act told the Australian news site, news.com.au.

"To compete to represent Oz in Eurovision is second only to being on that stage in Tel Aviv and singing my lungs out for my country," she continued. "I’ve sat at home every year since Guy Sebastian competed in 2015 and have been so keen to be a part of it. Now, this might be my chance!"

You can already listen to Courtney's Eurovision song, "Fight for Love," which was just released on iTunes and Spotify:

Courtney will compete against Aydan and Leea Nanos, who will join jKate Miller-Heidke, Mark Vincent, Sheppard and Electric Fields as they battle it out to represent Australia in next year's Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Fans will be able to vote for their favorite during the Eurovision: Australia Decides contest which will be broadcast live on February 9.

If you need more Courtney in your life until Eurovision: Australia Decides, check her out as the host on The Bi Life, and Courtney Act’s Christmas Extravaganza, airing Christmas Eve on Channel 4 in the U.K.
