Social media sensation James Charles went viral a few weeks ago with his flawless yearbook photo.

Over the past few days Charles had been hinting he was working on an exciting new project—and on National Coming Out Day, we found out what it was: CoverGirl announced they had signed Charles as their first Coverboy.

Covergirl spokeswoman Katy Perry helped bring Charles into the fold.

"I am so beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK, to announce that I am the newest face of @covergirl," Charles posted on Instagram.

"First ever male ambassador for the brand and I am so honored and excited to be working with such an iconic brand."

Not bad for someone who just started trying out makeup a year ago, huh?
