Considering it is a musical TV show with a plethora of gay fans, it's surprising that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend had no LGBT characters — until now.

In this week's episode, Rebecca's boss Darryl is still recovering from the kiss on the cheek he received from White Josh last week, so he decides to hire his new friend as a personal trainer.

Darryl is shocked when White Josh admits he's gay, but is even more shocked to discover that White Josh thinks Darryl is gay too.

"Maybe your nickname should be Gay Josh instead of White Josh because then people would know what's up!" Darryl desperately shouted, trying to figure out what all these confusing feelings mean.

"Why?" responded White Josh. "We don’t call Greg 'Straight Greg.' We don’t call you 'Old Gay Darryl.'"

This is all too much for Darryl to process, and he ends up firing White Josh after many unsuccessful attempts to prove to him that he's straight.

But by the end of the episode, Darryl is finally able to come to terms with his newly-discovered sexuality, and runs to White Josh to share the news that he's a "both-sexual" before pulling him in for a big ol' kiss.

Will Darryl and White Josh be TV's next great gay couple? Only time will tell. But it is certainly more likely than Rebecca taking a week off from having a scheme to get Josh's affection blow up in her face, that much we know.
