Ben J. Pierce will lead the Glamorous life.

As previously reported, the CW is set to make history after ordering a new pilot for what would become the first American TV show with a gender non-conforming protagonist.

Glamorous, an hourlong drama, is executive-produced by out screenwriter Jordon Nardino and Instinct's Michael Rauch, as well as Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow of Two Shakes Entertainment. Desperate Housewives alum Eva Longoria will direct the pilot.

Glamorous will be written by Nardino, who has written or produced shows such as Smash, Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls, GCB, Quantico, and Star Trek: Discovery.

Pierce, 20, has been cast as Marcos, a gender non-conforming recent high school graduate who starts interning at a cosmetics company whose products they previously panned on YouTube, Deadline reports.

“This is Marcos’ chance to live, love, and grow to understand what it really means to be queer,” reads the character description.

Pierce joins a cast that includes Brooke Shields as Madolyn, the cosmetics comedy founder and CEO.

The queer YouTuber notably appeared on Netflix’s Fuller House as Casey, the franchise's first openly gay character.

Pierce's debut single, "Little Game," an empowering anthem about gender roles and equality, went viral in 2014. Releasing his latest video, "Rendezvous," under the moniker Miss Benny, Pierce is being "true to both sides of my identity and gender expression," he writes on Instagram.

Heartthrob Pierson Fodé (The Bold and the Beautiful, Jessie) has also been cast as Chad, Madolyn's openly gay "alpha male" son and heir apparent, who has “a personality and wardrobe that would be more at home on Wall Street than the beauty industry.”

Showtime's Billions made history in 2017 with TV's first major non-binary character, played by non-binary actor Asia Kate Dillon. Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina also features a non-binary character played by non-binary actor Lachlan Watson.

Glamorous' Marcos would join numerous LGBTQ characters on the CW's current roster of shows, including Riverdale and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

The network is also making history with TV's first trans superhero, played by trans activist Nicole Maines, on Supergirl. Batwoman, starring genderqueer actress Ruby Rose as the titular lesbian superhero, is set for fall.
