Debra Messing And Cyndi Lauper Are Planning A Gay Bar Crawl In Philadelphia
The gay-fave stars want to get out the vote.
On Friday, Cyndi Lauper and Debra Messing join former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and Democratic Senate candidate Katie McGinty on a get-out-the-vote gay bar crawl throughout Philadelphia's Gayborhood. Organized by the Liberty City LGBT Democratic Club, the event encompasses six bars, including Woody's, Boxers and Tavern on Camac.
Pennsylvania is an important swing state, and the stars hope their presence will influence LGBT people to head to the polls (and presumably pull the lever for Hillary).
Rendell has been campaigning in gay bars for decades, starting with his 1977 campaign for Philadelphia district attorney.
