Cynthia Nixon Is Emily Dickinson In Terence Davies' "A Quiet Passion"

"You are alone in your rebellion, Miss Dickinson."

Cynthia Nixon travels to 19th century America to play poet Emily Dickinson in the new film, A Quiet Passion.

The biopic, from director Terence Davies, follows Dickinson's life from her early school days to her seclusion in her parents' home, where she wrote her most famous poems.

Costarring Emma Bell, Jennifer Ehle, Duncan Duff and Keith Carradine, the film debuted at the Berlinale in February and is scheduled to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival this September.
