Dad and Son Wear Princess Dresses, Dance to “Let It Go,” in Viral Video

"For him, Elsa is a superhero."

We just couldn't let this video go.

Norwegian comedian Ørjan Burøe recently posted a Facebook video showing him and his 4-year-old son, Dexter, dancing around their living room to Frozen's "Let It Go" while wearing matching blue princess dresses.

"Mom is gone, no stress," reads the caption, punctuated with a heart emoji.

"He's just the biggest fan of Elsa at the moment," Burøe tells CBS News of his son's Frozen obsession. "I thought maybe I should try to see it through his eyes."

Burøe explains that his son loves Elsa because she's a strong character, regardless of her gender. "Just like kids don't see color of skin," he adds. "He just sees something that's great. For him, Elsa is a superhero.”

Preparing for their choreographed routine to the Oscar-winning anthem, Burøe purchased two Elsa costumes online so they could play dress-up together. "It's important to embarrass yourself and let it go," he continues.

"It's important to teach children that you can do whatever you want to do, and not put prejudice all over them. Soon enough you will find out who you're going to be in life."

The Facebook video has gone viral with more than 68 million views in one week. Most of the comments have been positive, praising the great dad for supporting his son and battling gender stereotypes.

Notable negative feedback came from British journalist Piers Morgan, who tweeted that it was "ridiculous" to suggest Burøe's behavior made him a better father than one who played football with his son. Burøe responded with a video of himself kicking a football in the Elsa dress.
