Dancing With The Stars returns to television to ABC for Season 18 on March 17, and the new celebrity contestants have been revealed:

  • The Price is Right host Drew Carey
  • Big Time Rush singer James Maslow
  • Paralympian snowboarder Amy Purdy
  • The Wonder Years actress Danica McKellar
  • Full House actress Candace Cameron-Bure
  • Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams
  • Pop singer Cody Simpson
  • Long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad
  • Olympic ice dancing pair Charlie White & Meryl Davis
  • Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes
  • Former NHL hockey player Sean Avery
  • This year's cast is heavy on pioneering athletes: Nyad is the openly lesbian swimmer who recently crossed the English Channel, while former hockey star Avery has been a staunch ally to the LGBT community. Purdy didn't begin snowboarding until after becoming a double amputee—she and her partner Daniel appeared on The Amazing Race in 2012.

The announcement was made live today on Good Morning America by Tom Bergeron and new co-host Erin Andrews, who also revealed Season 17 champ Derek Hough is back, as are beloved veterans Cheryl Burke, Mark Ballas, Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani and Val Chmerkovskiy. Former  Brooke Burke-Charvet was controversially axed, though, in favor of Andrews.

We're putting our money on Nene, because she can do this:
