Olympic gymnast Danell Leyva is looking beefy and beautiful in a new swimwear campaign for Mr. Turk.
The 24-year-old Olympic silver medalist dazzled spectators at the Rio Olympics this summer with a shirtless parallel bar routine, and later came out as an unapologetic LGBT ally in a touching video paying tribute to the 49 victims of the Pulse massacre in June.
Now, he’s showing off his greatest assets in much less clothing than he was sporting in Rio.
The men’s fashion brand, which has previously worked with Nyle DiMarco, Terry Miller, and Logo correspondant Max Emerson, began rolling out images from the new campaign on Instagram.
In several, Leyva poses against a sun-drenched wall in a hot pink pair of Mr. Turk’s high-cut “Chico trunk.”
In the best one, the chiseled athlete puts his Olympic-grade thighs on full display in a deep squat:
In others, Levya models a couple funky suits the brand calls its “Holiday party looks.”
The foray into fashion could be a burgeoning new career for Leyva, who just this week posed alongside transgender model and Strut star Laith Ashley in a new fashion campaign shot by legendary photographer David LaChapelle.
“Had the pleasure of working with @danelljleyva today!” Ashley posted on a behind-the-scenes shot from the set on Instagram yesterday.
“Definitely one of the most amazing experiences of my life.”
