MTV “Road Rules” Alum Danny Dias Dead At 34

The out reality star was found at home with cuts on his wrist.

Former MTV star Danny Dias, who appeared on both Road Rules and The Challenge, was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment this week.

According to TMZ, a friend told law enforcement that the 34-year-old had taken something appearing to be LSD or mushrooms on Saturday and began to freak out before retreating to his bedroom. The friend reportedly left, but became worried when he contacted Dias and never received a response.

Authorities arrived at the scene to find Dias reportedly unconscious and unresponsive. He was eventually pronounced dead, but his official cause of death has not yet been revealed.

TMZ is reporting that the incident is being investigated as a possible suicide, after police allegedly found two vertical lacerations on Dias’ forearm.

Dias was cast on Season 13 of Road Rules in 2004, and was one of the few openly gay contestants to appear on the series.
