Darren Young broke new ground as the first WWE wrestler to come out as a gay man. Considering how popular pro wrestling is with young men—and how widespread its champions are in video games, action figures and other moneymaking ancillaries, that's a pretty big deal.

Young will be in San Francisco on July 11 for GaymerX, the leading video-game expo for LGBT players and their allies. He'll be talking with fans and promoting his appearance in WWE 2K14.

Below, NewNowNext caught up with Young and talked with him about Gaymer X and being an out WWE champion.
