Hear the author read an excerpt from his new collection, "Theft By Finding."

David Sedaris has a new book coming out, Theft By Finding, so you already know what to put at the top of your summer reading list. The writer's latest release is collection of his hilarious diary entries from 1977 to 2002.

Entertainment Weekly premiered a new clip from the audiobook read by David. This entry is from October 1998 when his partner Hugh accidentally cuts off the tip of his finger and David has to go out searching for band-aids— even though he's in Paris and doesn't know how to say "band-aid" in French.

In another entry in the clip, David's sister Amy comes to visit and tries to talk him into buying a miniature potbelly pig.

Does David end up purchasing the pig? Listen to the clip below to find out—but if Amy Sedaris told you to buy a pig wouldn't you listen?
