Jill Soloway’s Amazon Series “I Love Dick” Gives Kathryn Hahn The Leading Role She Deserves

"I forgot what lust felt like until I met you."

Jill Soloway, the Emmy-winning creator behind Transparent, returns to Amazon on May 12 with I Love Dick, on May 12. Based on the 1997 Chris Kraus novel of the same name, the series follows married writer Chris (Kathyrn Hahn) as she write lustful letters to a mysterious Dick (Kevin Bacon) in artsy Marfa, Texas.

“[It’s a] soapy delicious psycho-sexual comedy,” Soloway told Deadline in January, after the pilot dropped. The full season’s two-minute trailer doesn’t reveal too many plot details, but we’re thrilled to see Hahn—a.k.a. lovable Rabbi Raquel Fein on Transparent—upgraded to a leading role. It’s about damn time.
