Delta Celebrates National Coming Out Day With Colorful Ad

"Claim your colors. We got your back."

Delta Airlines offered a message of support to their LGBT customers on Facebook today, in celebration of National Coming Out Day.

The video, uploaded to the organization's social media pages, shows a full rainbow of checked bags moving along a baggage carousel.

The caption reads: "Claim your colors. We got your back. #NationalComingOutDay."

As expected, Delta received a bit of hate in the comments section of each post, though they were overshadowed by positive approvals.

"Thank you Delta for always having mine and my family's back," one customer wrote.

Another added: "I am not gay. I am a woman who loves a man. I am also a Christian. I love Jesus. I love gays. I love straights. I also love and fly exclusively only Delta. Thank you for being so good to everyone no matter race, color, gender or sexuality!"

The post comes just a day after Atlanta Pride, of which Delta was a presenting sponsor this year.

"Coming out - whether it is as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or allied - STILL MATTERS," the Human Rights Campaign has said of the importance of observing National Coming Out Day.

"When people know someone who is LGBTQ, they are far more likely to support equality under the law. Beyond that, our stories can be powerful to each other."

Thanks, Delta!
