Demi Lovato Confesses She’s “Not Sober Anymore” in New Single
Demi Lovato is back with new music tied to a painfully honest admission.
In her surprise new single, "Sober," Lovato seems to admit she has relapsed after six years of sobriety. The songstress sings, "Momma I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore / And Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor / To the ones who never left me, we've been down this road before / I'm so sorry, I'm not sober."
The pop star also sings an apology to her supporters, including fans she fears she may lose for good.
In her 2017 documentary Simply Complicated, Lovato opened up about her daily struggles to fight her addiction and an eating disorder tied to the release of her last album, Tell Me You Love Me.
On "Sober," the singer tells her fans she will recover again and will seek help.
