Demi Lovato has shown her support for the LGBT community by performing at both L.A. and NYC Pride and speaking about her gay granddad at the inaugural Trailblazers gala in June. Now the “Really Don’t Care” singer is the first celeb to join the relaunch of the HRC’s “Americans for Marriage Equality” campaign.
“I believe that love comes in all different shapes, sizes and colors. So whether you’re LGBT or straight, your love is valid, beautiful and an incredible gift,” says Lovato. “Let’s protect love and strengthen the institution of marriage by allowing loving, caring and committed same-sex couples to legally marry.”
Demi also wrote an email to HRC’ 1.5 million-plus members and supporters, calling on all Americans to get involved in the fight for marriage equality nationwide.
