Demi Lovato, MIKA, and More Added to Stonewall Inn Safe Spaces Concert

The star-studded event premieres June 1 on Logo's Facebook and YouTube.

As if the Stonewall Inn Safe Spaces Concert weren’t already a must-see livestream, now it is true appointment viewing with a new slew of A-listers announced for this week’s big Pride Month kickoff event.

The famed West Village watering hole is about go Hollywood: This Tuesday (June 1), Demi Lovato, Alan Cumming, Ariana DeBose, Julianna Margulies, MIKA, Angelica Ross, Anthony Rapp, Jai Rodriguez, and Michael Urie were all added to the show’s star-studded lineup.

Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative

As NewNowNext previously announced, the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI) announced the virtual event — a fundraiser benefitting six LGBTQ safe spaces throughout the country as they physically reopen and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic — late last week. The show will stream exclusively on Logo’s YouTube and Facebook on June 1. Jägermeister, one of SIGBI’s corporate sponsors, has already pledged to match donations up to $25,000 as part of its #SaveTheNight global initiative.

Event producers Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora have locked an exciting lineup of LGBTQ and allied celebrity guests, some of whom will even perform music. Celebs on the roster include OG Queer Eye star Carson Kressley, actor Matt Bomer, comedians Lea DeLaria and Billy Eichner, The L Word: Generation Q star Leo Sheng, Shea Diamond, Amanda Lepore, Amy Poehler, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Chelsea Clinton, and a slew of your favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race queens (Jiggly Caliente, Sasha Velour, Brita Filter, and Jackie Cox, anyone?!). And that’s just a taste of the star-studded lineup.

“Safe spaces for community gathering, empowerment, and celebration — like the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City — more often than not exist in large city centers and are rarely found in areas where the daily stigma of being LGBTQIA+ is more prevalent,” wrote Tom on the event’s official GoFundMe page. “This is why it is more important than ever that we help members of our community in areas that lack many other safe spaces and where they are a lifeline to their LGBTQ community members.”

Visit SIGBI’s website for a full list of celebrity guests, and mark your calendars for the concert Tuesday, June 1, at 8pm ET, streaming exclusively on Logo’s YouTube and Facebook.
