Our hearts grew three sizes when we encountered Desmond, the 8-year-old boy feeling his oats at New York Pride last month. Chaperoned by his mom, Desmond sashayed and spun around in a gold crown and rainbow tutu as the iconic march made its way through Manhattan.

“He is old enough and smart enough to know he would be marching in the Pride parade in front of thousands of people and did it willingly,” Desmond's mom told NewNowNext.

“I thought he would stop after 10 blocks of walking, but he felt so good about being dressed up and being who he is that he vogued and danced the entire two miles. ...This is how he wanted to look today. This was his Pride. He felt it. He loved it. He was it."

There were a few haters, but as Desmond's story went viral, there was an overwhelming flood of support and admiration for the littlest Pride star. And now he's back!
