Saturday nights are always a party at the wold famous West Hollywood gay bar, The Abbey, but this past weekend was even more of a celebration because one of the most famous pop icons of all time swung by to dance it up in front of the go go boys.
Diana Ross made a rare club cameo at The Abbey on Saturday night to promote the new Chris Cox remix of her classic anthem “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” Abbey owner David Cooley teased her appearance on Instagram and later called it a “magical night.”
“Diana Ross gave so much love and energy last night even my dancers couldn’t keep up with her,” he wrote on Instagram. “Amazing and so magical.”

“The Boss” singer was accompanied by her publicist Mark Young, and her son, Evan Ross, who is married to Ashlee Simpson.
A spokesperson for The Abbey told Gay Star News that Ms. Ross “hadn’t been to a club like The Abbey since Studio 54, but The Abbey does it better all because of David Cooley.”
Social media was filled with photos and videos of Ms. Ross turning it out to hits by Whitney Houston, Madonna and her own music when the “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” remix played.
“Sporting a fitted black pant ensemble with gold corset belt, Ms. Ross took to the catwalk to dance for her hit record before she waved goodbye to everyone while thanking them for their love and support,” the spokesperson added.
