Director: "Victor Frankenstein" Is A "Love Story" Between James McAvoy And Daniel Radcliffe
At San Diego Comic-Con, Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy joined moderator Chris Hardwick for a panel about Victor Frankenstein, their upcoming monster flick hitting theaters in November.
Radcliffe plays Igor to McAvoy's deranged Doctor Frankenstein, and director Paul McGuigan says the film is basically a "love story between these two guys.”
Sending shippers everywhere into the stratosphere, Radcliffe admitted "I get thrown around a lot—But, it's good. I bounce.”
"Yeah he does," McAvoy added drolly.
The homoerotic barbs just flowed from there, with McAvoy saying, "We just kinda go at it with each other like, every day. Twelve hours a day, no knee pads."
At one point Radcliffe revealed that "there's one scene [that was] subtly homoerotic." At Hardwick's urging, he acted out the scene with McAvoy, who assured the audience, "I was wearing full protection."
Radcliffe is in good company: Here's a look at McAvoy and Michael Fassbinder's bromance in the X-movies.
