Disney Star Ross Lynch Playing Real-Life Gay Serial Killer In “My Friend Dahmer”

The film will focus on a young Jeffrey Dahmer as he struggles with the desire to kill for the first time.

Teen Beach Movie star Ross Lynch is joining the long list of Disney kids looking to shed their squeaky clean images, as he just signed on to play infamous gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Lynch will play the killer in his high school years in the indie film My Friend Dahmer, which is based on Derf Backderf’s critically acclaimed graphic novel of the same name.

The film is described as a coming-of-age story following Dahmer in his younger years as he experiences a rough family life and struggles with thoughts of wanting to kill for the first time.

Dahmer is known for raping and murdering 17 men and boys from the late ’70s into the early ’90s, often dismembering and even eating his victims. He was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and eventually was murdered in prison by another inmate in 1994.

Lynch’s Teen Beach Movie co-star Garrett Clayton is also trying to shake his Disney image, starring as gay porn star Brent Corrigan alongside James Franco in the upcoming film King Cobra.
