America's bracing for the release of Captain America: Civil War this weekend, but it's the new trailer for Marvel's Doctor Strange that has us mesmerized.

Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as the occult hero and Tilda Swinton as his folically challenged mentor, The Ancient One, the film sees the Marvel Cinematic Universe branching out into new dimensions.

Judging by the clip, Doctor Strange will be an origin story, and those are always a bit of a drag. (We just want to get to the demon-fighting and spell casting.)

But getting to see Tilda as a 2,000-year-old bald monk bossing Sherlock around will be worth the price of admission.

If they could find a way to have her square off against Tom Hiddleton's Loki we'd be set for life. (The two were magic in Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive).

Doctor Strange materializes into theaters this November.
