Did Donald Trump Just Suggest His Supporters Shoot Hillary Clinton?

What. Is. Happening.

Today at a campaign rally in North Carolina, Donald Trump suggested his supporters assassinate Hillary Clinton if she’s elected President, to stop her from appointing liberal Supreme Court justices.

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment. By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day,” Trump told the crowd.

The internet blew up after Trump’s remarks but his campaign quickly defended Trump’s comments, claiming he was referring to the “power of unification,” not assassination:

Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager also released a statement saying that Trump’s words are “dangerous”:

Only 90 long days until November 8.
