Trump Makes Mike Pence Flee Gay Wedding In "SNL" Sketch

"Marriage is between a man and a woman. Then another woman, then another woman..."

Last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live mocked Vice President Mike Pence for walking out of a football game last weekend after some NFL players exercised their constitutional right to take a knee during the National Anthem.

"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence tweeted.

The walkout has been largely criticized as an orchestrated stunt that likely cost taxpayers more than $250,000.

In the SNL cold open, Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) interrupts his own speech at a Harrisburg trucker rally so that he can instruct his loyal veep (Beck Bennett) to leave a Starbucks because the cups don’t say "Merry Christmas."

Trump later tells the notoriously homophobic conservative to walk out of a same-sex wedding.

“Everything seems very respectful," Pence reports from the ceremony. "I see the groom, he’s waiting patiently at the altar. And then I see—uh-oh, there’s another groom.”

“Get out of there, Mike!" Trump commands. "I know you hate this word, but abort!”

“Outrageous," Trump continues. "No one should disrespect the sanctity of marriage like that. As in says in my favorite verse in the Bible, Double Corinthians, marriage is between a man and a woman. Then another woman, then another woman, and maybe one more if you’ve got it in you."
