Downton Abbey will not be arriving stateside until 2013, but at long, long last we are finally getting a full trailer for the upcoming third season of the popular British series. What’s more, there is not one appearance from the bitch Edith! We pray she has left the family and will never be heard from again.
It appears from the above trailer that the third season of Downton will give us everything we have come to love about the show. Sassy Maggie Smith one-liners? Check! Michelle Dockery doing that beautiful crying thing she does she well? Check! Hugh Bonneville being all noble and dependable? Check! Shirley MacLaine dressed as a feisty flapper? Added bonus!
The show’s second season recently picked up 16 Emmy nominations, including nods for Dockery, Smith, Bonneville and Best Drama Series.
