CAMEROOOOOOON!!! Sorry, just had to get that out of the way. Hey kids! Welcome to the New Year! And with January comes National Drag History Month, that time of year when we set aside an entire month to honor, revere, remember and celebrate all the hellaciously fabulous drag queens who've helped make this word a better place through the years.

As we all know, drag queens have always been on the frontlines fighting for LGBT equality. And now Bebe Zahara Benet, winner of the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race, is taking that mission even further. The African queen wants to turn National Drag History Month global. Let's get "International," Honey!!! Watch her PSA above!

Drag-lovers should also know that coming on February 1st is a whole new season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Get ready! And if you want to remember the fun we had during last year's inaugural Drag History Month, Varla Jean Merman can help, after the jump!

Finally, special props to the kind folks at NYC's Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, who let Bebe and her TV crew shoot their dragtastic PSA in their Crosby Street location. They're "fighting AIDS one book at a time," so check them out!

Here are some pics of Bebe behind the scenes at the INTERnational Drag History Month PSA shoot at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe! Ahhh, showbiz...
