School Supports Teacher Moonlighting as Drag Queen After Parents Complain

Some took issue with the sexually suggestive nature of his act.

A private school in England is standing by its head teacher after some parents complained that he was moonlighting as a drag queen.

Andrew Livingstone, 39, teaches at Horatio House, in Lound, Suffolk, during the day, and takes the stage as Miss Tish Ewe at night, calling herself "The bitch with the itch."

Some parents were upset when video of Livingstone's drag act showed him doing song parodies involving sex acts.

"The videos are lewd and I can’t have my children seeing that kind of content," said one parent, who added that they weren't opposed to Livingstone being a drag queen, but rather with the act itself, The Mirror reports.

Livingstone become head teacher at the school in July, and the administration said he brought "considerable expertise in education and school improvement to the trust," reports the BBC.

While his drag act came up in the check during the hiring process, they did "not believe that the two jobs are incompatible, and agreed with Mr. Livingstone clear guidelines to ensure that there is a separation between his two jobs, including the use of social media in promoting his act."

It was also noted that the material some found questionable predated his time at Horatio House.

Livingstone has taken to his drag persona's Twitter account to declare that those who have an issue with his act as Miss Tish Ewe are the ones with the problem. And from the looks of it, the publicity has not only not hurt his teaching career, but has done wonders for his drag bookings.
