When you are on All Stars, you are among the best of the best that RuPaul’s Drag Race has to offer. So it’s always tough when a queen has to go, but that is the nature of the game on a competition reality show—even All Stars.
This week RuPaul asked Thorgy Thor to sashay back to Brooklyn, after her performance as Stevie Nicks in the VH1 Divas Live challenge. “You are all All Stars, we have to pick up on the slightest infraction on the challenge,” Ru told Thorgy during her critique.
Now, Thorgy sits down with everyone’s favorite squirrel friend, Michelle Visage, for a new episode of Whatcha’ Packin, to talk about the outfits she didn’t get to wear on the runway this season and how she thought she would be in a better place mentally when she returned to the workroom.
“I thought: ’Let me use these new skills about learning to calm myself down,'” Thorgy explains to Michelle during their conversation. “And it was worse when I got in there. It was far worse.”
Michelle understands how stressful the olympics of drag can be, adding that it’s “a lot of pressure, and nobody sucked, by the way.”
But Thorgy is trying to look past her elimination, to future projects, like her Thorchestra, which she asks Michelle if she would like to come and sing with when they hit Carnegie Hall.
“I will not say no to that,” she says.
