Here’s When “Drag Race Holland” Premieres in the U.S.

And meet the series' host!

Category is... stroopwafel realness!

Earlier this summer, World of Wonder (WOW), broadcaster RTL, and Vincent TV announced that Drag Race Holland, a new international version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, would be coming to the Netherlands later this year. Now we know when the latest spinoff will be sashaying onto U.S. shores: Friday, September 18.

Drag Race Holland will debut exclusively on RTL’s Videoland for Dutch audiences and will be available same day on WOW Presents Plus for viewers in the U.S. and other countries.

Not only was a premiere date announced, but RuPaul herself also revealed who would be hosting the latest international version. In a video message, Mama Ru asked Dutch TV presenter and stylist Fred van Leer if he would host Drag Race Holland.

“I still can’t believe I’ll host Drag Race Holland with the blessing of RuPaul! What a dream! This program is everything I believe in and stand for!” Fred said in a statement. “It’s all about charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and I can’t wait to see all the fantastic creations of the queens on the runway, the lip syncs and all the challenges we created. A first message to our queens: You’d better work bitch! Good luck and don’t fuck it up!”

Fred is no stranger to television. He was a coach on Holland’s Next Top Model and has also appeared on Say Yes To The Dress Benelux and Fred van Leer: Everything Out Of The Closet.

As NewNowNext previously reported, the series will feature 10 Dutch masters of drag as they compete to be crowned the first Dutch Drag Race Superstar. In the style of Canada’s Drag Race and Drag Race Thailand, RuPaul will not host.

WOW

“We firmly believe in charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and can’t wait to welcome these 10 talented queens into the Drag Race family. It’s fantastic to work with RTL and Vincent TV on launching a Dutch version of the franchise, but it’s also a privilege to be able to bring this brilliant new series to an international audience too, via our own SVOD Platform WOW Presents Plus. We know fans won’t be disappointed,” said WOW co-founders and Drag Race executive producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.

We know these fierce queens are about to blow our wigs off like some Dutch windmills, so we can’t wait to find out which girls will be serving serious stroopwafel fantasy on the newest version of Drag Race.
