RuPaul Gives Tucking Tykes a Reading Lesson in New “Drag Tots” Clip

"All Quiet on the Western Lace Front!"

Ooh, honey, RuPaul proves it is never too early for a reading assignment.

Drag Tots, the new animated series from World of Wonder, the fabulous production company behind RuPaul’s Drag Race, has finally premiered on the streaming platform WOW Presents Plus, and now you can watch a scene from the first episode.

The lil’ queens on the series are adorable, but don’t be fooled by their cute Powerpuff Girl looks, they can still throw shade like the best adult drag queens—and that’s because they are voiced by some of the most legendary stars to ever slay Drag Race: Latrice Royale, Bianca Del Rio, Adore Delano, Valentina, and Detox!

In the new clip Roxy Moron (voiced by Season 6’s Adore Delano) enters the library with a stack of books expecting to actually crack one open and read, until the school’s mascot, Corny the Unicorn (Mama Ru, is that you?!) schools Roxy on what reading means to drag queens.

“Reading is part of our drag her-story. It’s how queens communicate and tease each other,” Corny tells the students.

Sadly, this means the tucking tykes won’t be reading the literary classics Roxy brought to the library like Gone With the Weave, All Quiet on the Western Lace Front, and The Diva Rules by Michelle Visage!

“You’re not a true queen until you can read!” explains Lady Liber T (Latrice Royale). “Because reading is what? Fundamental!”

Drag Tots should help fill the void in your heart after Drag Race Season 10 sashay aways tonight. Watch the new scene from the animated series below.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
