Before our favorite champagne Papi was an international rap superstar with ten number 1 singles under his Swarovski-studded belt, Drake stole hearts as basketball star Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian series Degrassi: Next Generation.

Drake was with the show for 7 seasons, appearing in over 100 episodes.

His character Jimmy's plot wound up strangely foreshadowing Drake's future, as Jimmy became an aspiring rapper later on in the series.

Last night, Drake met up with members of the Degrassi squad Daniel Clark, Adamo Ruggiero and Lauren Collins at the Toronto premiere of the new web comedy series, We Are Disorderly.

Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) was all smiles in his hometown as he embraced his former co-stars in support of their latest endeavor.

Days earlier he had performed at OVO Fest, where he he surprised the packed crowd by bringing out Kanye West and Pharrell.

This a nice distraction form the ongoing feud Drake's been embroiled in with fellow rapper Meek Mill.
